While sitting at the doctors office I came across an interesting article in Time Magazine that I felt was worth sharing.
Scientist has elusively sought ways of harnessing the nuclear fusion powers of the sun to generate unlimited, pollution free energy. The challenge has been the ability to create a sustainable fusion reaction. The International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) is under construction in France with a scheduled launch period of 2018 and the hope of being able to create the conditions to sustain viable fusion changing the way energy is produced on the planet.
I figured I would dig around and share some information on the process.
I found a Youtube video from ITER describing what they intend to do
Here are other links on the subject

2018 is a long way away, however who knows that ITER's findings could do for the future of energy on the planet.
