In November and December, everyone started talking about Cash for Caulkers. The thought was that the government may give 50% off of energy efficient home upgrades up to $12,000 per home. That means you could spend $24,000 on your home and get back half. Not a bad deal. $24k is enough to replace HVAC, Water heater, Insulation and some or all of the windows on an average sized home.
But lately it seems that the topic is dying down. I did a google search and the most recent articles were from early to mid December. Has Congress made any progress? Is it still a possibility? If this is the route they are taking, I'd definitely like to wait to do some upgrades...

It didn't cost as much as the war in Iraq ! How can the government create jobs? that's a private sector thing,and tax cuts is not the answer 73% of business's paid zero in federal taxes.
