Good read. The technology can only get better with time. I also think that solar energy does not get all the attention it deserves. More attention = more research = better technology. All in due time I guess
I just saw an article about CPV (Concentrated PhotoVoltaic) which is a type of solar panel that claims to be able to absorb up to 50% of the suns rays. Previously, we had heard that 10-15% efficiency was good. This bodes very well for the push for solar energy!

Not to mention that just like any other electronic device as soon as people start buying, prices will go down. Mass production = cheap production. We just need those early adopters to take the hit so that the rest of us can afford it!
Those solar panels really look good. Solar panels just absorb sun rays just lower than 50% so the energy it can collect it relatively lower. It is important the panels are good heat absorbent so intact more energy in the battery.
You can have a deduction for it as part of the costs of paying remuneration - the health club benefit is charged on the staff as a benefit. You will need to complete P11d forms for each member of staff.
It will be great to see how this technology performs in the field.
My panels are Sunpower which at the time I believe were 17%... They were the most powerful per square inch and come with 25 year warranty which is very important. Thin film needs to raise their power warranty to 25 years as well to really take off....
