Default Cooking once a week vs daily and natural gas usage

If you haven't read my post on my weekly regiment - it's here : http://efficientlivingforum.com/show...-one-day)?p=89

I just realized another benefit of this regiment. I'm reducing the amount of natural gas that I'm spending on cooking, because my stove operates just one day a week vs 6 - 7 days. I will see if my bill has dropped as a result of this significantly - but we basically only run the stove once a week and then it's just microwaving things to heat them up during the week.

Good point. And especially if you're making 1 big pot of something since you use the same amount of gas for the same amount of time, but have much more cooked food. Just try to wait for the cooked food to cool down some before you freeze it!

Correct! Because if it’s not? You’re next problem is your freezer or refrigerator.
